Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. We do not retain or log those search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
We retain an email you send so our team can answer it. We do not disclose the message outside our organization unless the law requires disclosure.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers automatically receive basic technical facts when a page loads:
- Page-view times and the pages visited
- Your device type and operating system
- The referring site, when available
- Your browser type and version
- Time spent on visited pages
- The IP address assigned to the device
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. Along with analytics services, they help us understand aggregate traffic, popular pages, and where visits end. You may block cookies in your browser, although doing so can change how parts of the site work.
What We Do With This Data
- Sending a submitted query to the correct search partner
- Maintaining site availability and performance
- Diagnosing and repairing technical faults
- Understanding which pages visitors use
- Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Criminal-Record Data on File
We do not keep, compile, or sell a database of personal criminal records. The site explains how to approach the Okeechobee County Sheriff's Office, the Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, and the Florida Sexual Offenders and Predators Search. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party criminal files.
Third-Party Search Partners
Search boxes on this site are powered by outside companies. Anything you enter into those tools is processed under the partner's own privacy policy, not this one. Those partners set their own data-retention and sharing practices, and we do not control them. Review the partner's policy before submitting a search.
Links to Other Websites
Throughout the site we link to sheriff's office pages, court portals, state agency sites, legal aid groups, and third-party search tools. Clicking any of those links takes you off our site. At that point, their privacy policy governs your visit. Read it before sharing any personal details.
Certain advertising partners may track your activity across sites to show targeted ads. That tracking runs on their systems, not ours.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Some information may end up with:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
We follow standard security practices to safeguard the data we collect. But nothing connected to the internet is bulletproof. We do what we can to keep your information secure, though we cannot promise a breach will never happen.
Users Under 18
This site is meant for adults. We do not knowingly gather personal information from anyone under 18. If you think a minor has shared data with us, reach out and we'll delete it right away.
Your Data Rights
Florida's consumer-protection framework, including the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act, Florida Statutes section 501.201 et seq., may provide rights or remedies depending on the facts and where you live. Florida public criminal-history dissemination is separately governed by section 943.053, and public-agency records by the Florida Public Records Act, including section 119.07. At a minimum, you may:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
Updates to This Policy
We may change this privacy policy down the road. When we do, the updated version goes up on this page with a new effective date. Check back if you want to keep tabs on how we handle your information.
Effective date: July 17, 2026
